We celebrate the founding of Earth Day as we visit with the legendary Brock Evans. Over a 40-year career Brock lobbied on behalf of conservation issues for the Sierra Club, Audubon and his newest organization, the Endangered Species Coalition, and he is responsible for the protection of Canyonlands National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, among many other areas around the country. Heed some advice from a man who has been around since before the words "environmentalist" and "green living". AND we kayak one of the most intense run-offs in the entire state, the Bear River on the northern slope of the Uinta Mountains. On this excursion we join Zach Frankel (Utah Rivers Council) as he explains the importance of this river to the Great Salt Lake ecosystem and the millions of birds that migrate through the area.
